Get your hands in the clay and enjoy the process of learning hand-building techniques.
• Make a pinch pot animal or your pet.
• Explore slab building and coiling techniques.
• Create textures or draw in the clay.
• Use the techniques to create anything you want and have a turn using the pottery wheel.
Pottery will be kiln fired twice and painted with glazes.Occasionally we may use drawing to get our ideas on paper before sculpting them with the clay.
A flexible structure encourages individual choices and interests through art.
Grades: 3-5 (going into 6th grade O.K.)
Dates: June 22-26 and an extra optional time for glazing on July 1, from 1:30-3:30.
Location: Sunnyland neighborhood in Bellingham, 4 person minimum, max of 6 students. All materials included, Clay works will be Kiln fired twice. Bring a snack.
